With nearly 600 locations in over 140 countries, American Spaces connect the United States and communities worldwide. Managed by U.S. embassies, often in partnership with local institutions, American Spaces advance U.S. foreign policy goals.   • In 2025, American Spaces welcomed more than 21 million visitors.

  • Nearly 200 American Spaces host EducationUSA advising centers that recruit international talent, bringing millions of dollars to the U.S. economy.

There are three types of American Spaces:

  • American Centers – U.S. government-operated, within or near U.S. embassies or consulates

  • American Corners – partner locations, often libraries, cultural venues, or universities

  • Binational Centers – organizations in Latin America and Germany

American Spaces may use other names, such as Lincoln Corners or America Houses.

U.S. Private Sector Support

American Spaces benefit from U.S. private sector support. Companies such as Amazon, Chevron, and Coupang have established partnerships with American Spaces, connecting global audiences and advancing the USA brand.
